In the center of Miami, along the shores of Biscayne Bay, just minutes from Miami Beach and Miami International Airport, sits one of the most prized pieces of waterfront land in Florida. It is here that Resorts World Miami will rise, accelerating Miami's evolution as an international destination at the crossroads of the Americas, creating tens of thousands of jobs, and serving as an economic catalyst for the state Florida.
The 30-acre Resorts World Miami project is the first proposed destination resort to be designed in Florida.Plans include four new hotels with more than 5,000 rooms and two residential towers featuring up to 1,000 units; a luxury retail galleria; a 3.6 acre rooftop lagoon and natural sand beach; more than 50 restaurants, lounges, bars and nightclubs; a high-tech multimedia entertainment area showcasing the music and culture of Florida and South America; and 700,000 square feet of convention and meeting space.
The resort will help develop the three-mile BayWalk, which highlights a 150-acre leisure and entertainment area in downtown Miami beginning at the Miami River and running north to Margaret Pace Park. The Baywalk will link Bayfront Park, Bayside Market Place, American Airlines Arena, Museum Park, the under-development Miami Art Museum, the new Miami Science Museum, and the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts.
Resorts World Miami's striking and iconic design is the brainchild of Florida's own world renowned architecture firm, Arquitectonica. The project combines world-class dining and entertainment, high-end hotels and residences, and luxury shopping in the center of downtown Miami.
"Resorts World Miami introduces a new vocabulary of architecture to Florida, one that is inspired by the ocean and Florida's coral reefs. Our building designs echo familiar forms that are part of our identity, including tropical fish and seashells. We have captured that relationship with Resorts World Miami." – Bernardo Fort-Brescia, Co-Founder and Principal, Arquitectonica.
